This is transported by mass flow through the xylem and <strong>deposited mainly in the cell walls of leaves<\/strong>, but it can also occur in stems and roots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once deposited, silicon precipitates, becomes immobile, and no longer redistributes within the plant.
